This teapot was handmade by Jingdezhen Master Lee ShanMing. He has devoted himself to ru kiln products for over 15 years. His signature is on the bottom of the pot, it says "Shan" 善. "Shan" is the middle character of the artist's name, it means kindness. The blue-and-white painting on the cup is hand painted by Master Lee as well.
This ancient pottery technique known as Ru Kiln (Ruyao) originated during the Song dynasty. It is one of the finest quality traditional Chinese crafts on the market.
