110ml Qinkexuan Tianbai (Sugar white) glaze Ruchu Gaiwan
This is a perfect and very affordable gaiwan for who’s a beginner on learning using gaiwan without worring breaking a handmade item. This does not include a saucer.
Tianbai translated as Sweet White/Sugar White, it’s a rich white color created during Ming Dynasty YongLe Period (AD1403 – 1424). This kind of white reminds people of the white color that the processed sugar shows, therefore, it’s called Tianbai (sweet white)
This is handmade by one of our studios, called QingKe Xuan 清可轩 in Jingdezhen. The studio signature is on the bottom of the gaiwan. This studio strictly follows the traditional Jingdezhen techniques, with the exception of using an electric kiln for firing.
