This blue-white porcelain is known as Ying Qing 影青 "Shadow Jade" and also as Qingbaici 青白瓷 "jade white porcelain." It is known for its jade-like quality and the beautiful patterns carved under the glaze that are especially pronounced when lit from behind. These cups are handmade in our studio in Jingdezhen. Patterns may vary slightly from tea cup to tea cup as each one is handmade.
