We had a hard time deciding the winner with so many beautiful cups and inspiring stories. Thank you for sharing them with us! For anyone who hasn't already, you can click here to see the entries.
Congratulations to @hyro_key for the winning entry in our contest! Enjoy $75 off your purchase at mud and leaves.

In the end we found it impossible to choose only one entry for a prize, so we have also chosen a few runners-up. Congratulations to @toad.in.a.teacup, @gemma_shelley, @benlovestea, and @mbfleur_tea! Each of you will receive a 20% off coupon for your next order.

We are also sending out a coupon to everyone else who participated in our contest – check your Instagram inboxes!

And finally, here are our personal tea cups. My red ruyao cup was the cup that originally attracted us to the work of Lee Shanming. He rarely makes red ruyao because of the high failure rate, making this cup even more special to me. Siyan’s Jilan cup was given to her as a gift from our partner studio in Jingdezhen when we first began our business with them. The two characters 初心 chu xin mean “original heart” which can also be translated as “first intentions,” a reminder never to forget your original intentions.

Siyan comes from Guangdong, China. A student of Chinese tea and tea culture, Siyan not only sources the finest Porcelain, Ruyao and other ceramic wears from our partners, she also researches the history of ceramics in China.

Patrick first arrived in China over 10 years ago. A tea lover and Chinese ceramic collector, Patrick has too many teapots and probably drinks too much tea.
